It might seem incongruous to have legendary California Supreme Court Justice (and later Chief Justice) Roger Traynor on the same list with musicians The Beach Boys and Carlos Santana and basketball star Magic Johnson. But it makes sense once you learn that they are all part of the 2011 class of inductees into the California Hall of Fame, as the Sacramento Bee reports. Others in the eclectic group of inductees chosen by Governor Brown and First Lady Anne Gust Brown are astronaut Buzz Aldrin, novelist Amy Tan, Nobel Prize winner Elizabeth Blackburn, Homeboy Industries founder The Rev. Gregory Boyle, Gap Inc. founders and philanthropists Doris and Donald Fisher, and disability rights advocate Ed Roberts.
