Chief Justice’s principal attorney appointed to the Court of Appeal

Chief Justice Tani Cantil-Sakauye will soon be reviewing the work of her current principal attorney, Carin Fujisaki, in a different way.  Governor Jerry Brown today appointed Fujisaki to the First District, Division Three, Court of Appeal.

Fujisaki was selected in 2015 for her current prestigious position, which primarily involves assisting the Chief Justice in her role as leader of California’s judicial branch.  Before that, Fujisaki had already worked at the Supreme Court for 25 years, including more than 20 years as one of now-retired Justice Marvin Baxter’s staff attorneys.
