Tomorrow morning, the Supreme Court will file its opinion in Patterson v. Padilla. The case was brought by the California Republican party to challenge, on state constitutional grounds, Senate Bill 27, which seeks to force presidential candidates to disclose their tax returns. The case was argued only two weeks ago. There is good reason for the rush.
