As a baseball fan and one interested in the sport’s history, I couldn’t help noticing the wallpaper behind one attorney arguing remotely before the Supreme Court this morning. The wallpaper (that is, real paper covering an actual wall, not an electronic image on a computer or smartphone) showed an enlarged team photo taken before a Negro Leagues East-West All-Star game.

It looks like the photo was from the 1939 East-West game at Chicago’s Comiskey Park. A box score for the game reports that players included Hall of Famers Leon Day, Josh Gibson, Buck Leonard, Hilton Smith, and Willie Wells.
